Citation Technologies Agrees to Sell CyberRegs to IHS to Align Regulatory Content with Industry Leading EHS&S Solutions

Scottsdale, AZ. (July 02, 2012) - Citation Technologies, Inc. today announced that it has signed an agreement to sell CyberRegs®, the web portal that provides access to the most comprehensive full-text domestic and international regulatory content to environmental, health, safety and sustainability solution provider (EHS&S) IHS, Inc. of Englewood, CO.

"Aligning CyberRegs with the full complement of IHS solutions provides significant advantages for our customers, who now have the opportunity and additional resources available to take their EHS&S and product design programs to another level of excellence," said Citation Technologies Chief Executive Officer Dean Brewer. "Having worked with IHS for many years, we are confident that IHS will continue expanding our vision of world-class, end-to-end compliance management decision support."

During the last two decades, Citation continually developed CyberRegs as a best-in-class technology – maturing from floppy disks to CDs to a dynamic regulatory document web portal. Today, CyberRegs is the most comprehensive online source of current, full-text regulatory compliance information. EHS&S professionals from Fortune 500 organizations rely on CyberRegs as the foundation for their regulatory compliance research.

"We are pleased to acquire CyberRegs from Citation Technologies in order to provide our customers with ongoing, immediate access to the regulatory content they need to advance critical decisions," said Jerre Stead, IHS chairman and chief executive officer. "In the process, CyberRegs will also help us accelerate the growth of our EHS&S business so it is another win-win for our customers and our company."

By agreeing to allow IHS to acquire the CyberRegs business — including the extensive regulatory content and experts who support the system as well as the web portal technology — Citation is enabling CyberRegs subscribers to:

  • Reduce IT system and workflow complexity by reducing the number of vendors they rely on to support their strategies for Enterprise Sustainability Management.
  • Drive continuous improvement of compliance management by incorporating CyberRegs content and expertise more tightly into roadmaps for future IHS information solutions.

CyberRegs provides online expert regulatory content that streamlines and centralizes resources for customers. These valuable resources have dynamic functionality, such as collaborating with shared annotations, searching and accessing full-text regulatory citations. Subscribers are even notified as often as the referenced requirements change.

The IHS EHS&S Customer Care team will now assume responsibility for supporting the global community of CyberRegs customers – including approximately 500 organizations and 18,000 end users – and delivering on the IHS commitment to customer delight.
