Environment, health and safety industry leader Theodore Polakowski Joins Citation Technologies to Run EMIS Business Development and Partnership Strategy

Scottsdale, Arizona (July 07, 2009) -- Citation Technologies, Inc. the premier provider of document management solutions for the presentation and management of change of global regulatory documents and intellectual properties, announced today that Theodore Polakowski, former Director of Health Safety Security Environment (HSSE) Compliance at BP, has joined the company as its Vice President to build out Citation Technologies’ environmental management information system (EMIS) partnership strategies and focus on forging successful industry partnerships.

Polakowski most recently was the Director of HSSE Compliance at BP. During this time he was responsible for developing an HSSE Compliance framework and supporting tools to be used by BP facilities worldwide in the deployment of their OMS, Operating Management System. An industry first, Polakowski’s tool enabled BP business units in any of 67 countries around the world to determine which of the countries HSSE laws and regulations applied to them.

Before that, Polakowski was the Agere Systems (and its predecessor company Lucent Technologies, Microelectronics Group) Director of Environment, Health and Safety Assurance. As Director he was responsible for development and implementation of a consistent world class ISO14001 and BS8800 third-party certified environment and safety management system at all of its major facilities located around the globe.
